Our client is a well-established and leading company specialising in manufacturing and installing machines for the Fresh Produce industry within the in the UK and Europe.
They are a family run business who are continuing to grow and develop with new and exciting projects.
They are seeking to recruit an experienced Design Draughtsperson to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary.
40 hours per week Monday – Friday.
They are looking for someone who understands the importance of safety, has a team spirit, a professional attitude, and is motivated to do their best.
As a Design Draughtsperson you should have / be
Mechanically minded, from a hands-on practical background, showing a thorough knowledge of machine function, materials, fabrication and assembly processes.
Ideally have a recognised qualification in Engineering Design, although career experience giving you the necessary expertise and competence will be highly valued.
You have a positive, can-do attitude, resourceful and focused on achieving results within a given timeframe and a strong ability to relate designs to practical in-field operation and performance.
You have a positive self-starter mentality, capable of working effectively in and contributing to a team environment and the ongoing development of existing and new products.
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills (essential).
Understanding design for manufacturing within the fresh produce industry.
Duties and responsibilities included in the role.
Delivering projects within the timescale and budget.
Product development and improvements.
On-site surveys and specification.
Detailed drawings.
Bill of materials & product costing.
Working closely with project managers (sales engineers) and customers to specify solutions and designs.
Helping develop Innovative solutions and proposals to enhance our machinery.
Attend design meetings.
