A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Designer to join a leading construction specialist that focus on the design, manufacture and installation of structural glass, architectural glazing and door products. The company work with Architects, Contractors and Clients on award winning projects and pride themselves on quality.
The suitable Senior Designer will have a background working on glazing and glass projects previously for the construction industry and have advanced AutoCAD skills. The role will be based at their offices in North-West London, therefore you must be within a commutable distance to this location.
Senior Designer Position Overview
Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings for glass structures
Liaise with architects, structural engineers, contractors and clients
Handover and manage manufacture and installation of projects
Advice sales with pre-order enquires
Attend site meetings as and when necessary
Assist with surveys and R&D
Maintain drawing archive with latest details
Provide support and training to design team
Senior Designer Position Requirements
Minimum 5 years' background in UK construction with glazing experience
Advanced AutoCAD skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
Degree level qualification or equivalent
Advanced understanding of geometry
Good knowledge of building regulations
Undertake site surveys as and when necessary
Fluent in written and spoken English
Visa to work in the UK
