Salary : £30000 – £32000/annum 34 days hol, pension, free parking
Platform Resourcing are working with a Hereford based client that are looking to recruit an Interior CAD Designer. This permanent role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to grow along with the business in an exciting time of expansion, offering long term progression and support.
The main purpose of the role is to work closely with the R & D team to create technical and CAD drawings for all products and design work. Design and development of products and technical drawings/ fitting instructions to aid all processes from manufacture through to installation.
Those applying will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent in a product/ furniture/ interior design related subject and will have a minimum of 2 years of experience within a similar design role ideally within the furniture/ bathroom or kitchen sector.
Interior CAD Designer Manager Salary & Benefits
Salary of £32,000, reviewed on a yearly basis
25, plus 1 day for birthday (plus 8 Bank Holidays)
Monday to Friday Hours 8.30am until 5pm (40 hours per week)

Full-time, PermanentInterior CAD Designer Duties and Responsibilities:
Creation and maintenance of all up-to-date technical drawings of existing products and design work; ensuring they are accessible, and a backup copy and library maintained.
Liaising with customers to establish their needs to produce a suitable design, managing the process from concept, design, through to production.
To aid R&D with the visual design and development of furniture and fittings which are on trend or ahead of trend; liaising with customers and manufacturers, as necessary.
Consideration of challenges such as cost, market trends, demand, materials and manufacturing methods and techniques and safety in design drawings.
Clarify and solve design issues, keeping customers updated with product progress.
Presenting designs, samples and final work for evaluation, ensuring product and parts certification is up to date, address any design issues and manage expectations.
Help prepare cost estimates, where required, produce assembly instructions.
Create and render 3D model designs to high quality for marketing use making revisions when requested.
Source products and parts, keeping an up-to-date knowledge on all modern advancement in material and software technologies.
Support the marketing team in the content for brochures and other marketing material
Gather market intelligence in the product manufacture and assembly to aid design work or 3D model creation.
To ensure all data is managed effectively, adhering to GDPR requirements
To assist in product compliance and testing.
Maintain awareness of competitor product and brochures to ensure competitive edge.Interior CAD Designer Essential Experience and skills
Over 2 years of experience within a similar CAD design role within furniture/ bathroom/ kitchen or interior design
Qualified in a design related subject
Experience in creation of production drawings with budget through to completed projects/products.
Experience of liaising with customers to understand design briefs and establish needs.
Able to use CAD software fluently.
A knowledge of material properties.
An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods
Be a strong team player with a collaborative work ethic
