Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on an experienced Supervisor with a Technical Drawings/ Design knowledge to fill a CAD/ Revit Team Leader role in Cardiff.

The successful candidate will be leading a team of CAD Technical Advisors that offer technical support and advice related to architectural design drawings. The role will involve resource planning for these Technical Advisors, building and maintaining a close relationship with the Operations department; devising and implementing an ongoing training programme for Technical Advisors; leading preparation, revision and filing of standard technical documents and CAD drawings; organization of product testing programs; leading continuous improvement of technical service and customer experience; assisting with organisation of product testing programs; and driving innovation in the way in which Technical Advice is delivered.

CAD/ Revit Team Leader Benefits:

Salary of £30,000 basic plus yearly bonus and yearly pay reviews
Yearly bonus up to 10% of annual salary based on company performance (£3,000 for this position paid every April)
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours

Progression opportunities available CAD/ Revit Team Leader Duties and Responsibilities

The Technical Advisor Team Leader shall maintain a close working relationship with the wider Technical Department through personal, phone and email communication. They shall innovatively lead activities including, but not limited to:

Communicating with customers by means of telephone and email, guiding the output of Technical support
Supporting the sale of products through the dissemination of technical information and developing robust technical advice and solutions to design related problems relative to the product range
Performance of in depth calculation and qualification of the suitability of products for use and the specification of products by application
Approval of drawing submittals from a Technical perspective
Cross-training and development of Technical Advisor team members formerly specialized in either side of the company's products, to a level of excellence across both
Creation of technical documents and drawings for internal and customer use
Enhancement of the existing library of NBS specifications, CAD and Revit drawings
Supervision, resource planning and development of individual team members
Conception and organisation of ongoing outreach programmes between all other departments and Technical alongside the Site Services Engineer Team Leader
Development ideas for service and product improvements, based on customer feedback
Contribution New Product Development, enhancement and specific project work
Creation and implementation of Technical control procedures, systems, documents and methodsThey shall assist the Technical Manager in:

Developing the organisation and performance of the testing programme
Assignment of departmental workload to maximise efficiency and cross-training
Demonstrable leadership capability
