The Role
In this Technical Design Assistant role, you will be supporting the interior design team on a technical level, drawing up spaces from point clouds, building Revit families for the interior design team to use and creating models for manufacturing using Solidworks/SWOOD/AutoCAD. Responsibilities will include…
– Drawing from point clouds then creating outline in Revit ready for the Pre-Contract Design Team
– Using SolidWorks/SWOOD to create Manufacturing files
– New Product Designs and improving existing designs
– Working with the estimating team to provide information to help with costing up the projects in line with the design brief/proposal.
You would have opportunities for progression in this role including taking more responsibility at project level, acting as the single contact for projects. You may be expected to attend handover meetings and take project briefs, carrying out site visits to show the construction team how to assemble / install technical products.

The Candidate
You will be a capable individual, results-driven, hard-working and tenacious, with experience in the design process of interior fit out. It's essential that you possess the following…
– Experience in a Technical Design role in interior fit out
– Skilled in the use of Revit/ArchiCAD (BIM software), Solidworks/Inventor/Creo, AutoCAD
– Familiarity with Adobe Suite beneficial
– Excellent communication skills, comfortable working and liaising with clients and colleagues alike
– Fantastic written skills in order to convey a high sense of professionalism to clients
