Transformation Digital Programme Manager
Job Type : Contract, Full Time
Salary : £395 – £500/day
Local authority in the Cambridgeshire are currently require an interim Transformation Digital Programme Manager for an initial period of 2 years.
Purpose of the role:
To successfully design, develop and deliver the digital strand of the the clients Programme. Working across all work streams in a collaborative, consistent and professional manner, to identify the key digital opportunities and enablers required to deliver programme outcomes and managing their delivery from requirements-gathering through to implementation. Able to translate between business and technical requirements and vice versa and broker conversations between business and technical teams to inform system and process design and ensure systems deliver business benefits. A practically focused role which can undertake all aspects of technical delivery and work with the current ICT delivery partner and other suppliers.
Experience required:
* Local government experience and network of influencers and stakeholders who can be called upon to give challenge and guidance.
* Extensive experience and knowledge of the full range of council services.
* Significant relevant experience in the management of major digital projects and programmes across large organisations with multiple stakeholders.
* Knowledge of the requirements, systems, policy, practices, procedures, legislation, and major issues related to developing and delivering a digital strategy and digital projects.
* Experience and knowledge of developing and delivering communications strategies to different audiences across different disciplines.
* Strong understanding of digital opportunities, delivery and best practice.
* Extensive experience of overseeing digital improvement activities, including delivery of significant cashable savings.
* Significant experience of working with senior internal and external stakeholders to articulate and deliver on ambitious programmes of activity.
* Experience of supplier management and of managing delivery across multiple suppliers
* Experience of programmes where the role requires balance and flexibility between strategic and operational focus and delivery.
* Extensive knowledge of ICT set up, infrastructure and delivery of technical aspects of a digital strategy, being able to ensure technical assurance
* Experience of leading blended teams of technical and non-technical resources to deliver business outcomes and ensure that business and technical requirements inform one another
* Management of ICT resources.
INSIDE IR35
Day rates : £395 PAYE – £500 umbrella
4 days a week
Initial contract of 2 years
Remote working with occasional visit to Cambridge
