Site location based in Clevedon with a salary paying up to £43,000 per annum.

The Role

Working under the direction of the Lead Engineer you will be responsible for the execution of design solutions within a multi-disciplined engineering team and to support product development at the product Company.

Key Objectives:

You'll design and develop modules & sub-assemblies of new products in accordance with the companies Product Commercialisation Process (PCP)
Meet the master specification targets, ensuring they conform to the relevant international, national and industry safety standards
Verify and ensure the designs meet the Master Specification and meet the relevant design standards by calculation and or testing as appropriate
Be accountable for the design and development of sub-assemblies of a product ensuring the specified quality and cost are achieved to the agreed project time scale
Be accountable for the detailed documentation of the design (models, drawings, design data, BOM, test data) ensuring all relevant information is recorded in a timely manner in accordance with TCF requirements.The Candidate

Will have an engineering degree that's electrically biased or (another relevant engineering qualification with at least 5 years industry experience)
Knowledge of design for manufacture and design for assembly
Experience in product development and introductions is an advantage
Experienced use of a range of engineering materials, with several manufacturing methods/techniques
3D and 2D CAD skills (CATIA, Visio, AutoCAD or other drafting tools)
An understanding of system schematics and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Understand key technical deliverables and requirements and can provide concise reports to more senior engineers and the project manager
Focused on delivering to project milestones and timescales, motivated by results.
