Technical Designer, AutoCAD designer, Draughtsman

Salary : £35000 – £38000/annum plus 20 days annual leave
A genuinely exciting Technical Designer/AutoCAD Technician position has arisen with this leading supplier of expanded mesh and architectural metal (used for any applications such as flooring, partitions and ceilings). If you have at least 2 years' experience working as a Technical Designer, AutoCAD Technician or Draughtsman and experience of producing 3D design drawings, then please apply ASAP.
LOCATION: You will work from the office based in Kent with the option of hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 working from home), Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm.
SALARY: £35,000 to £38,000 as a basic salary, 20 days annual leave and company pension.
As a Technical Designer you will be responsible for assisting the technical department and technical developments for metal focused exterior and interior building products range. Producing detailed drawings in 2D and 3D CAD and providing professional technical advice and assistance on all products to internal customers – UK Sales team, General Managers, Internal Sales and Manufacturing Operations Provide professional technical advice and support to all external customers – Architects & Designers, Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Engineers and Distributors including overseas clients. You will also have involvement with the development of new projects ensuring technical and operational commitments are met by all parties. Provide assistance in the production of NBS style specifications and material take-offs. Driving forward all new product development and technical improvements. Attending site meetings/visits to discuss requirements and solutions for projects.
Successful candidates with have at least 2 years' experience working as a Draughtsman, AutoCAD Technician or Technical Designer and ideally you will have background within the construction industry (although not essential). You will be a confident IT user with experience in Microsoft Office and Computer Aided Drawing packages in both 2D and 3D is a must. If this sounds like it could be of interest, please apply ASAP.
