Architectural Technologist – NEC Supervisor

Conrad Consulting, in partnership with one of Leeds most reputable Architectural Practices are currently recruiting for an experienced Architectural Technologist to lead on various large scale projects and to also undertake NEC Supervisor responsibilities.

Their current vacancy really offers variation and the chance to be part site based, this would be best for an experienced (5 years minimum) technically minded Technologist – Senior level who has exposure to working on a wide range of projects, specific current project demands are within the Industrial, Manufacturing and Modular Construction sectors however with various other revenue streams such as residential, Commercial and Education you will not be pigeonholed into working in one set sector. Alongside this our client are keen for the Architectural Technologist to undertake elements of the NEC Supervisor role, you will be responsible for witnessing tests and inspections by the contractor and monitoring the quality of the construction works on site. An individual who enjoys the site based elements of the role and who is confident at dealing with contractors and job running on site would suit this role very well.
In terms of the Technologist responsibilities, they are looking for a solid detailer and an individual who prides themselves on ensuring every piece of work with their name on is produced to an impeccable standard. The practice are pretty much REVIT based so a good working knowledge is highly desirable alongside having worked on live projects to BIM level 2 standard.
To be considered for this role we would hope applicants meet the following Criteria
At least 5 years of experience in an Architectural Practice background
Experience in Industrial & Manufacturing, or Residential is desirable
Recognisable qualification such as a Degree in Architectural technology or an HND in Building Studies
Experience of delivering projects at construction stages
Strong technical expertise related to design and construction
Very good Revit skills, and a good working knowledge of AutoCAD
Job running capabilities, comfortable being based on site.
NEC Supervisor capabilities, Managing and monitoring the quality of construction works on site.
Able to audit the design and identify inconsistencies, discrepancies and missing information and record, report and track the close out of these items
Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and the Planning / Building Regulations application process
Experience in leading meetings on site with the client, design and contractor team
