Salary : £35000 – £40000/annum bonus and benefits
Global Product Design Consultancy based in Berkshire is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. This role will benefit from a salary of up to £40k, profit share, 22 days holiday, pension, life assurance, income protection and healthcare.
As Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
Working on a variety of medical devices from concept through to mass production.
Detailed design from concept through to delivery.
Tolerance stack analysis.
Design of proof of principle test rigs & assembly jigs.
Creation of design related medical device documentation.
Managing prototype production.
Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers.
The key skills required for the Mechanical Design Engineer will be:
Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes for plastic and metal.
Strong analytical skills, including performing engineering calculations.
Experience in medical device design is preferable.
