The Company
My client is looking for a Senior Design & Technical Manager who will join an exciting and dynamic team, within a growing and forward thinking organisation.
The Project
Randstad CPE is supporting the Head of Construction of a leading residential contractor. The project is a contemporary development of 20 one and two bedroom apartments and 10 two and three bedroom houses.
Your new role
Working within the Development team, the Senior Design & Technical Manager will be responsible for providing architectural and technical leadership, ensuring quality design is at the forefront of all development activities.As the Technical Manager, you'll provide a comprehensive internal advisory service influencing at all stages of the development process. You'll be a key part of the expert client team that critically appraises designs and proposes viable enhancements that optimise value and mitigate risks. Some of your duties will involve creating, maintaining, and continually improving our processes and procedures, our standard design and technical documents for deployment across the programme.
About You
You will have gained circa 5+ years experience, ideally working for a main/principal contractor.
Have a solid level of education including a minimum of HND qualification (Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is desirable).
Strong IT literacy in Microsoft Office packages.
Strong organisational skills with proven time management skills.
A sound understanding of project technical requirements, the development process and infrastructure
Advanced knowledge of building services, building components and building physics
Experience using AutoCAD software.
