We are currently looking for a Product Engineer to join a specialist manufacturing company based in Skelmersdale.
The Responsibilities for the Junior Product Design Engineer
Receiving and understanding of customer supplied product requests and/or project briefs.
Communicate and explain design ideas effectively with the team.
Create 2D/3D rendered images of product concept(s) using your chosen software. SketchUp for 3D is preferred.
Use Sage 200 Manufacturing to create accurate product costings/quotations for manufactured product.
Create and modify product artworks using Adobe Illustrator.
Create and control "Work Instructions" for manufactured products using Microsoft Word.
Use Sage 200 Manufacturing to create and control product bill of materials.
Actively control and monitor workload using NPD/EPD project log on Microsoft Teams.
Liaise with the sales team on new and existing projects.
Work hand in hand with production on the manufacture of products and samples.
Work with the purchasing team to specify and source new components and materials.All of the above will be supported by the Technical Manager
The Requirements for the Junior Product Design Engineer
Experience / Qualifications
Required i.e. (Educational, Technical, Company / Work experience)
GCSE English & Mathematics grade C or above / equivalent
IT excel (intermediate level) word (basic level)
CAD Software experience (Sketchup is preferred)
A design degree would be desirable
