Salary : £41000 – £60000/annum

A Senior FF&E Interior Designer job is now available with a unique high-end residential and hospitality design practice working on contemporary projects UK-wide. The team are looking for an Interior Designer who is passionate about all-things-FF&E and who can oversee projects from start to completion. Salary of up to £60,000 DOE.

This practice brings a breath of fresh air to the interior design industry with a beautiful array of contemporary interiors. They offer turn-key services and work on national projects that range in value between £250k – £4M. The role will see you joining a sociable, dynamic and friendly team who are incredibly passionate about their work and delivering elegant projects for their clients.

Role & Responsibilities

– Leading and creating initial FF&E concept designs
– Attending meetings and presenting to clients
– FF&E specification, scheduling, and procurement (including purchase orders and control books)
– Coordinating specification with the drawing packages
– Producing physical and digital mood boards using InDesign
– Ensuring regular and open communication with internal and external teams and suppliers
– Working with the wider team in the spatial planning and design of each project
– Sourcing and researching new suppliers
– Negotiating, coordinating and liaising with suppliers to ensure that all specifications and deliveries are within timeframe and budget
– Overseeing the installation of projects and liaising with project managers
– Ensuring that the FF&E library/sample area is managed and maintained up to date.

Required Skills & Experience

– 5+ years' industry experience
– Proven experience working on residential, hospitality and/or commercial projects
– Strong knowledge of contract furniture suppliers
– In-depth knowledge of products, materials and suppliers
– Knowledge of interior architecture and the ability to read and understand technical drawings, including furniture shop drawings
– Project management experience including budgeting and scheduling
– Ability to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
– Self-motivated with the ability to take responsibility and use initiative to finding solutions and alternatives as problems arise
– Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
– Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Flexible approach to work and willingness to assist the wider design team when needed
– Confident managing/leading junior and intermediate designers
– Good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
