The role:
About the role: You will work alongside our UX designer and web developers to create award winning and industry leading digital projects.
You will bring a passion for digital design and a natural hunger for the latest trends and developments, and will look to bring these into your work.
Your day to day duties will include translating briefs and concepts into digital design and online experiences. Prototyping user journey’s, email design and artworking digital assets.
You’ll be supported in the development of your role in an energetic and rewarding environment.
Primary purpose of the role:
* Work closely with our UX designer and web developers to create high impact digital design
* Support in the production of wireframes, prototyping, user interface and presentation design
* Preparation of digital assets for websites, emails and online applications
* Support the design and artwork output of the studio where needed
Technical competencies:
* Demonstrable working expertise in the following design software:
* Adobe Creative Suite – XD, Photoshop, Illustrator
* Figma, Miro
Key responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with the Creative team and wider team to create work of the highest quality
* Ensure the highest quality throughout a project in order to deliver an industry leading product
* Actively contribute to creative innovation sessions
* Work with internal and external clients to support their business needs Creating brighter futures for employees.
Experience, qualifications and key skills:
Essential:
* A higher qualification (HND or Degree) in digital design
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience
* An understanding of the principles of user experience within digital design
* Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) guidelines and implementation
* Strong skills in typography, iconography, composition colour and layout
* Ability to bring to life pre-defined assets and concepts
* A natural hunger to explore the latest trends and techniques
* A willingness to receive creative direction and respond positively to constructive feedback
* A demonstrable skill level in Mac Operation, digital design and communications
* Exacting attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and quality
* Excellent organisational and communication skills – at all levels
* Self-motivated and enthusiastic – ability to work to tight deadlines, with minor supervision
* A logical / practical approach to problem solving
* The ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
Desirable:
* Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
* Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and InDesign
* Microsoft software including PowerPoint and Word
* Additional skills in Google Analytics and Hotjar
