Architectural Technologist
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £35000/annum
Experienced Architectural Technologist required with a minimum of 5 years' experience to join a growing SME Chartered Architectural Practice located in either their Harrogate or York Studio.
The successful Architectural Technologist will be involved with projects in a wide range of sectors, including high end residential, housing, community projects, conservation and commercial.
Our client is a market leader in both residential and commercial design across the Yorkshire region. Established in 2007 and having grown in headcount to 10 professionals their team are endlessly creative by pushing the boundaries of design, whilst being valued for their professionalism and passion for great architecture and design. Their business plan is to make the studio the "Design Leader" in the North of England, they are keen for likeminded career focussed individually to join them on their journey
Responsibilities for the Architectural Technologist.
The individual will be design orientated, commercially aware, ambitious, and have the necessary skills to be client facing. The offices have a welcoming and friendly environment, with the Directors and senior staff providing continuous support to all employees within the Practice.
Other duties include
preparation of measured surveys, planning applications and building regulations applications on both domestic and commercial projects.
Providing a practical and methodical approach to solving problems, working to fixed budgets and working within deadlines.
Have proficient skills in the use of Autocad and experience in the use of Archicad would also be beneficial.
Possess a strong knowledge of the current building regulations and industry standards
Able to deliver technical drawings and details to a high standard and to a set timeline.
Inspection of building work on site & running projects on site.
Have good organisational and people skills Have good presentation and communication skills
Be passionate about what they do and be pro-active in their workflow management
Will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team
Must have a recognised Architectural technologist qualification and a minimum of 4-5 years' experience in practice working in similar fields
Working Hours 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am – 15.00pm on Friday.
Base Salary £30,000 – £ 35,000 + benefits
The position is studio based with the option of flexible working hours.
