We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer within their respective field in Peterborough. Reporting directly to the engineering manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects design, development and implementation within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.
Role Description:
Develop and improve existing products/technology
Assess project requirements
Testing, evaluating, modifying and retesting products
Building and testing prototypes
Writing specs and technical reports
Ensure safety regulations are met
Skills and Qualifications:
Relevant degree in electronics engineering- HNC/HND will be considered also
4+ years in Mechanical Design Engineering
Experiences with R&D, Production Engineering
Strong 2D and 3D CAD Knowledge (Solidworks/ PDM)
