This is a leading architectural firm that specialises in innovative and sustainable design solutions for a variety of projects in the UK and internationally. We are looking for a computational designer to join the team and help create cutting-edge designs using advanced software platforms and techniques.
As a computational designer at this studio, you will:
Collaborate with project teams to establish project-specific digital content strategies and protocols
Develop and implement computational design tools and libraries for design analysis, synthesis, and evaluation
Use parametric modelling, generative design, machine learning, and data visualisation to explore design alternatives and optimise design outcomes
Communicate and present computational design concepts and workflows to internal and external stakeholders
Research and experiment with new technologies and methods to enhance the computational design capabilities of the firm
To be successful in this role, you will need:
RIBA Part II/III accreditation with extensive computational/parametric design experience, or an MSc in Architectural Computation
Proficiency in computational design software such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, or similar
Experience in scripting languages such as Python, C#, or similar is highly desired
Knowledge of BIM software including Revit
A portfolio of computational design projects that demonstrate your skills and creativity
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
A passion for learning and exploring new possibilities in computational design
