Location – Swindon
This role will suit a Packaging Technologist/Designer who would like to play some part in sales whilst maintaining a heavy involvement in the creative side of the business. Ideally, they would be looking for someone who not only has design experience but would also be comfortable speaking to clients.
What they are looking for:
2-6 years experience in Packaging Design and redesign.
Generating new packaging designs in response to customer briefs.
Use of Solidworks, AG CAD and Artois CAD software to design packaging for customers
Help develop new business in conjunction with the external sales team by offering alternative packaging to improve costs, reduce damages and speed up packing operations.
Liaise with manufacturing to ensure that all designs can be produced economically
High interest in the technical dimension of the products
Report on all projects in meetings
Understand various packaging tolerances
Create simple print diagrams in Adobe illustrator.
Develop and then utilise commercial knowledge and judgement to final price estimates
