Leading in design and interior architecture with strongholds in both the UK and US, our client commands beautiful spaces within residential, hospitality and maritime sectors. Working with customers globally they produce contemporary, liveable projects informed by an experienced founder's vision.
Due to recent project acquisition, this company is demanding an experienced furniture designer as part of ongoing team expansion. A result of a broadened client portfolio and manufacturing capabilities.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
Ownership of conceptual furniture designs producing around 40 pieces a month for wider team projects.
Design development from sketches into simple CAD models including basic visualisation for client proposals.
Communication with other design team members and manufacturing department.
Maintaining design vision and ethos throughout projects based on lead designer input and client vision.
Experiences required
Minimum 3 years' experience in traditional or contemporary furniture design with preference on upholstery furniture. Knowledge of manufacturing process is highly beneficial.
Proficiency in hand drawing and other visualisation techniques for conceptual design. This includes the use of CAD E.g. Photoshop, SolidWorks, 3DS Max, Cinema 4D etc.
Experience in design office environment required.
Excellent English communication both written and verbal.
Genuine passion for interior design and the creation of bespoke furniture.
