Fantastic opportunity here for a Architect to join a small scale practice in Northampton with big ambitions for growth, which could see you working your way all the way up to Associate and Associate Director level.

THE COMPANY:

As an Architect you will be joining a small Architectural practice based in Northampton, that have been established for just over 12 years. The team is currently 4 strong, featuring the Director and Head of Office, an experienced Architect, an Architectural Technician, and an experienced Planner that heads up all things Planning related.

This close knit team of individuals work together closely in a friendly and welcoming office in Northampton, delivering projects in a range of sectors and project types. The practice predominantly work within the Residential and Commercial sectors, which features a mix of developer style housing, care homes, high rise, bespoke housing, industrial work, barn conversions and more.

The team of 4 work together in a modern open plan office situated close to Northampton town centre with free car parking available outside the office building. They are also based within a reasonably short walk from Northampton train station for those commuting from outside the area. The practice are understanding of the need for a flexible work-life balance, and are open to both hybrid working and flexible working hours where required.

THE POSITION – ARCHITECT

This is an outstanding opportunity for an Architect to join a growing practice that will provide you with a varied and exciting workload, ongoing development and mentoring, and the opportunity to advance in your career along with the growth of the practice.

The ideal candidate will a qualified Architect with 1-2 years post qualification experience as a minimum, ideally with experience of working in the Residential sector first and foremost, but with a varied portfolio overall. The practice use AutoCAD & Revit software with AutoCAD proficiency being essential, and Revit knowledge being an added benefit. Training can be provided on Revit where necessary.

Working in a small team will see you being involved at most if not all RIBA stages, which is the ideal environment for a recently qualified Architect to develop their skillset and experience.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS – ARCHITECT

Fully qualified Architect with UK recognised qualifications at RIBA Part 1, 2 & 3
ARB registered
At least 1-2 years of post qualification experience
Experience of working on a range of project types and sectors, but with particular focus on the Residential and Commercial sectors.
