We’re looking for a passionate designer to join a small, grounded and perfectly formed brand-focused agency, who’ve been ripping it up for quite a few years, but have never lost sight of their values and personality.

For a small team, they have steadily built an impressive portfolio of clients covering many different business areas and audiences, which will keep pushing you creatively while adding value to your design career.

The role:

Based on the edge of Birmingham in peaceful surroundings, you’ll be given plenty of room and rope to work on creative projects from the ground up. It’s one of those rare opportunities where you can enjoy yourself and there is Iittle micromanagement, and plenty of creative freedom – they want you to trust your gut on projects and happily take the lead wherever necessary.

You’ll also be joining a nurturing and collaborative environment that encourages colleagues to develop, perform and excel at what they do and provides plenty of opportunity to work on an eclectic mix of projects & brands – B2B & B2C. Day to day, you’ll be working alongside a small team, collaborating with the CD, developers and account handlers.

You’ll need to be equally comfortable working on brand design and artworking, or web design and digital campaigns. In essence this is a 360-design role, online and offline and anything in between. It would be wonderful if you aren’t afraid of mucking in and getting your hands dirty.

What we’re looking for:

First and foremost, a creative who has a clean and modern approach, and who appreciates the simplicity and elegance of balanced design, who can not only produces ideas and well-thought-out concepts but delivers on a wide range of briefs.

You'll be able to work on B2C & B2B campaigns, using stylish imagery and appreciate the use of white space and subtle typography and be comfortable with both online and offline design and marketing. You’ll have a strong and varied portfolio and be most likely be operating in an agency environment, or in-house with a brand that has a strong creative edge to it.

Number of years under your belt isn’t as important as a balanced portfolio demonstrating a range of web and print examples, plus a genuine love of design, typography, colour, and branding. An eye and understanding of UI and UX is handy as well as sound knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop) Sketch (or similar). An interest in photography (they have the kit if you have the skills!) as well as a familiarity with After Effects / Video Editing is handy.
