Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join our client working in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing components for vehicles, ensuring that they meet quality, cost and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for components and assemblies.
Work closely with other departments such as Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality and Sales to ensure that designs meet the necessary requirements.
Perform feasibility studies and evaluate design options based on cost, performance and manufacturability.
Conduct design reviews and present designs to management for approval.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to develop solutions to design issues.
Ensure that all designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
Participate in testing and validation of components and assemblies.
Develop and maintain design documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in design engineering in the automotive industry.
Proficient in 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks, CATIA or Siemens NX.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of automotive regulations and standards is a plus.
