An exciting opportunity has arisen within a fast growing, leading company who provide traffic management services. They are currently looking for their next experienced Traffic Planner to join their successful, busy team.
Job Title: Traffic Planner
Salary: £25k – £34k depending on experience + company van
Job Type: Full time, Permanent. Monday to Friday 7:30am-5:30pm – over time available.
Responsible for:
The production of Traffic Management CAD designs and associated local authority applications to a high standard in line with all current legislation whilst catering fully for their customer's needs.
Purpose of role:
To work with their clients to deliver an unrivalled customer service providing accurate, detailed drawings of Traffic Management Schemes. Acting on behalf of your client you will be required to liaise with the local authority and stakeholders to provide a pre-operational, practical, traffic management solution that meets and exceeds relevant standards.
You are required to work collaboratively across your wider team, with your customers, local authority's and stakeholders to ensure that the pre-operational aspects of the business ensure their continued success.
The safe delivery of your workload to the highest possible standards is priority. As part of your role, you will be required to:
* Prepare detailed TM drawings using CAD drawing software.
* Undertake all relevant tasks in supporting the design process.
* Contribute towards the business's approach to continuous improvement.
* Have working knowledge of Chapter 8 and temporary traffic management.
* Work in a fast-paced office, liaising with other team members and managers to ensure that all scheme drawings are produced efficiently, effectively and in a timely fashion.
* Check peers TM schemes/drawings as part of their robust quality management systems.
* Advise on Traffic Management design/installation in line with all statutory obligations & relevant legislation.
* Attend site meetings to discuss and agree traffic management requirements.
* Liaise with customers, Stakeholders and Government services
* Contribute to the continued improvement & development of the business by providing a professional all-round service to their teams and customers.
