Conrad Consulting are delighted to be working with one of the Midlands and wider UK's most prominent Architectural practices, seeking an experience Architectural Technologist to join their Birmingham city centre office.

The Practice

The practice are one of the UK's leading Architectural practices, featuring prominently in the AJ100 list year on year. With offices throughout the Midlands and several offices in across the UK in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle and more, the company has a truly UK wide coverage. The company as a whole works within a broad range of sectors and project types, with the Birmingham office working on Residential, Student Accommodation, Commercial and Mixed Use buildings amongst others. Offering services across the whole Architectural spectrum including; Masterplanning, Urban Design, Landscape and Interiors.

The Birmingham office has seen a significant uplift in workload and along with their plans for growth as we head further into 2023, means that they are now seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their team.

The practice have embraced the flexible/hybrid working model, and Architectural Technologist's are able to work 3 days a week in the office, with the other 2 from home if that is your preference. It may be the case that in the first couple of months you are required in the office more often to enable you to be more acquainted with the team and projects you'll be working on.

Being based in Birmingham city centre means there are plenty of public transport links nearby for both trains and buses, along with several car parks available nearby. With the hybrid nature of this role, it would be possible for an Architectural Technologist to apply to commute from surrounding areas such as Coventry, Wolverhampton, Walsall and so on.

The Role – Architectural Technologist

The role on offer within this practice is for an Architectural Technologist with approximately 4-10 years of post qualification experience, ideally an Architectural Technologist that is accustomed to working on Residential, Mixed Use, Student Accommodation and Commercial schemes, although other backgrounds of expertise will also be considered.

This is an opportunity for you as an Architectural Technologist be part of an award winning practice working on a wide array of innovative and challenging projects. There may be need for you to run projects and lead a small team where you can lean on your experience to take projects under your wing and deliver them with your team.

The practice utilise AutoCAD & Revit software, so proficiency in both would be ideal.

As an Architectural Technologist, you will be working both autonomously and as part of a team so you must be comfortable in both settings.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

Architectural Technologist with a degree in Architectural Technology or HNC/HND equivalent.
CIAT accreditation would be looked on favourably but not necessarily essential.
At least 4 years of industry experience ideally within a private practice environment.

Proficiency in the use of Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD and the Adobe Suite.
Strong communicative skills, both written and verbal.
Eligibility to work within the UK is essential

The successful Architectural Technologist will be offered a salary in the region of £34,000-£40,000 dependent on industry experience, along with a competitive benefits package.
