Senior Architectural Technologist – Project Lead

Conrad Consulting in partnership with a Chartered Architecture Practice in Chesterfield are currently recruiting for an accomplished Senior Technologist / Project Lead to join their growing team. Our client are a market leader in Commercial Architecture offering quality design services in sustainable design, Building Information Modelling, 3D Visualisation, and Interior Design. The practice has been established for over 30 years and due to unprecedented client demand they opened a regional office to specifically focuses on delivering projects within the retail sector. The successful Senior Technician / Project Lead will be joining a close knit team which forms part of a wider robust business who have a sustainable portfolio of future work within the very busy food retail sectors.
We are keen to hear from experienced individuals possessing strong technical knowledge and a proven track record in the management and delivery of Architectural projects using REVIT / BIM software. You will be joining the technical delivery team to support the successful delivery of new build retail projects for a well-known growing UK brand. Applications welcome from Senior Architectural Technician / Technologists with an Architectural Practice background, fundamental importance is to secure someone who is a proficient and competent REVIT user and who excellent job running and solid client facing ability. In addition, candidates will be required to produce clear, concise working drawing packages, details, specifications and schedules to a consistently high standard and with thorough regard to current UK Building Regulations and legislation.
Requirements for the Senior Technician/Project Lead
*Comprehensive understanding of current UK Building Regulations and relevant legislation.
*Ability to demonstrate strong technical knowledge with at least 5-10 years industry experience.
*Previous job running experience and excellent client facing skills.
*Ability to work independently and have excellent communication skills
*Ability to collate and organise technical information
*Ability to investigate technical information and factors that affect developments including user needs, site and building surveys and regulatory requirements
*Ability to monitor and influence health and safety in design
*Prepare regulatory applications
*Prepare design proposals in REVIT
*Contribute to the detailed design process and co-ordinate the design information
*Prepare specifications, drawings, land and documents for statutory approval
*Contribute to design stage risk assessments.
Salary depending on experience £40,000 -£45,000 + Pension and a host of benefits.
The position is office based with the option of flexible working hours.
