Architectural Technician / Technologist
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £40000/annum
Experienced Architectural Technician / Technologist required to join a vertically integrated Construction and development company located in Garforth, Leeds.
Our client are one of the UK's leading purpose build residential care home developer and constructors. Over 30 years of innovation, within their vertically integrated model, this has allowed them to perfect the care home designs and they are currently on track to design and build 25 car homes per year!
About the role:
Due to the rapid growth and forecast of new projects, they are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Architectural Technician/ Technologist who will be responsible for the production feasibility and planning scheme drawings in 2D and 3D for client presentation and planning submissions.
As a Architectural Technician, it will be your job to:
To assist in the design and development of all projects and specifically to produce Computer Aided Design work as required in Revit and AutoCAD
To work closely with and under the guidance of the Design Team Manager in producing plans, construction detailing, planning submission drawings and building regulation submission details.
To prepare plans and details for Local Authority, clients, structural Engineer and office requirements.
Ability to take projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will:
Have knowledge of producing working technical drawings and specifications
Be hardworking with an eye for detail
Have knowledge of technical legislation including current Building Regulations & Planning Legislation
Be proficient in AutoCAD & 3D modelling software packages (Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup)
Have varied Project experience (care home sector projects would be an advantage)
Be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.In return our client offer a great place to work with great benefits including:
