Assistant Technical Manager/Head of Stage
The Ambassador Theatre Group is an extraordinary success story in the live entertainment industry. Founded in 1992 in the UK, we’ve grown into the world’s number one live-theatre company today. We cover every discipline in the theatre industry, from operating venues to producing shows and ticketing, through our industry-leading sites ATGtickets, LOVEtheatre and Group Line. We are passionate about great shows and our ambition is to help them find the largest possible audiences.
Our wonderful Richmond Theatre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join our technical department to assist in leading our technical team. The role of Assistant Technical Manager / Head of Stage will ensure we offer the highest standards of technical support to all visitors to our historical, regional venue. You will work within the technical management team to lead the permeant and casual technicians within the team and building upon and creating great relationships with touring companies. You will play a key part in leading health and safety mitigation in the venue and in organising maintenance of the building. This role is varied, covering planning and management as well as practical technical work. Due to the current structure of the department, we would be looking for someone with a bias towards Stage & Flys.
This contract is on an annualised hours basis and hours will vary on a weekly basis and include weekend and evening work. For further details, please see our job description.
We look forward to meeting you – thank you for your interest!
