Hydraulic Design Engineer

MGR are excited to be working with a leading company who design and manufacture bespoke hydraulic equipment and systems accross heavy Rail and Civil industries.
Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic design, a passion for innovation, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
• Design and detailing of power packs, hydraulic cylinders, control manifolds and special valves, on AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D CAD packages.
• Reviewing and checking of paperwork including Drawings, Design Calcs, Compliance checks & Colleagues work.
• Developing designs which adhere to technical specs.
• Conducting Risk Assessments.
• Ensure company standards are always maintained.
• Managing Mechanical Projects from initial concept to production.
• Regular attendance of Senior Management meetings and helping to steer company direction.
Skills Required:
• A good knowledge of fluid power circuits, components, calculations and systems.
• Bachelor's degree
• Familiar with fabrication and machining processes and standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in design work
