Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £28000 – £32000/annum

We are looking for a talented Part II Architectural Assistant to join an award-winning Architecture practice with numerous locations in the UK.

The candidates' key responsibilities will be:

Design

Drafting and amending concept, detail and technical designs and production information by CAD and/or by hand
Contribute to the design discourse and culture of the practice
Participate and contribute ideas in design reviews
Liaise with suppliers to curate sample boards
Share design ideas with project teamProject

Assist with the integration of technical information and statutory requirements into design and production drawings including assisting in the preparation of drawings for planning and building control approval, tender and construction purposes
Assist with the preparation of specifications and administration of project information
Research project briefs, materials and construction products
Ensure the adequate integration of technical information and statutory requirements into design and production drawings
Draft and amend concept, detail and technical designs
Assist with administration of project information
Assist in with preparation of reports and documentation
Administer project related information in line with standards and procedures of HawkinsBrown including QA processes and Safety Management Systems
Co-ordinate and liaise with internal and external parties
Attend key meetings
Keep Project Architect regularly updated on progress of work and/or anticipated problems
Engage with team members
Ensure that personal training needs are met
Promote team goals and ensure efficiency and effectiveness of teamTechnical skills required

Ability to produce coherent and well resolved architectural designs
Knowledge of building technologies, regulations and planning applications
Knowledge of technical standards, regulatory frameworks and health & safety requirements
Understanding of duty of care arising from the relationships between client and architects and consultants, employer and employees
Good aptitude for CAD and ability to use industry standards (training will be provided)
