Salary : £25000 – £27500/annum Uncapped OTE. Circa £50k year one

Are you passionate about art and skilled in the art of sales? Do you possess a keen eye for aesthetics and a knack for building relationships with clients? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Art Sales Representative to join our esteemed art gallery. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is motivated by the intersection of art and commerce and thrives in a dynamic sales environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Art Sales: Engage with potential buyers and collectors to promote and sell a diverse range of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, and mixed media pieces. Both in the gallery and off site.

2. Client Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their preferences, and providing personalized recommendations to meet their art acquisition needs.

3. Networking: Attend art events, openings, and exhibitions to expand your network, forge new connections with artists and collectors, and represent the gallery in a professional manner.

4. Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties, including inventory management, artwork pricing, documentation, and maintaining client databases.

Requirements:

1. Sales Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably in the art industry or luxury retail, with a strong ability to close deals and achieve sales targets.

2. Passion for Art: Deep appreciation for and knowledge of various art forms, styles, and artists, coupled with the ability to communicate this passion effectively to potential buyers.

3. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clientele, artists, and colleagues.

4. Results-Oriented: Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

5. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing art market, staying up-to-date with emerging artists and market trends.

6. Education: A Degree would be great but the passion to deliver sales success and high levels of customer service is more important. y, fine arts, business, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant work experience will also be considered.
