My client are a specialist large format print company that are focussed on branded spaces, signage and supporting trade printers. Their services include design, artwork, production and installation from their manufacturing site in Northampton. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Print Production Operative to join their growing team.
Role
The role of Print Production Operative will be based in their large format print and production department, working with Vutek® printers, Kongsberg® cutting table, Burkle Liquid Coater, Matic Sewing machine as well as other wide format print equipment. The role will include both running of the machines, finishing and sign making duties to help facilitate the day-to-day requirements.
Essential skills & experience
* Print operative with experience with Vutek or similar UV wide format printers (Durst, HP Scitex, AGFA).
* Experience with flatbed cutting tables such as Kongsberg, Zund or Dyss.
* Finishing large format print products to include; vinyl weeding and preparation, vinyl application, laminating, eyeletting and hemming
* Exceptional eye for detail and quality control
* Packaging of jobs
* Reporting to the senior production operative
* Strong communication skills
* Able to work as a team player and independently
* Keep the area clean and tidy at all times
* Can follow health and safety procedures
* Flexible work attitude
* Forklift license advantageous
