Design Assistant
Reporting to
Senior Designer
Job Role
To work closely with the design team by supporting them with day to day tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department in the fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
Helping the Designer with Catwalk/blog reports, ensuring latest info is available to other members of staff
Helping chase through samples actioned by Designers, both overseas and UK
Maintaining log of development samples received from factory and also bought samples
Arranging couriers and post when needed
Supporting the team during customer meetings
Returning bought samples
Ensuring showroom is tidy and fabrics are filed
Supporting the design team on customer accounts to design commercial garments
Researching high street trends and catwalks to compile concise reports
Assisting with meeting preparation such as setting up the showroom
Assisting with post meeting tasks such as meeting notes, taking photos and putting together trackers
Completing sketches and Cads for tech packing or customer approval
Assisting with the team's regular day to day scheduleGeneral
Maintain a thorough understanding of Company products
To carry out any other duties commensurate with the grade and purpose of the post.
