On behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds, we are searching for an e-commerce assistant to join a small but friendly and welcoming team to support with online store operations, assist with managing the customer experience and help drive sales. Due to the location of the role, a drivers licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of our various online stores, including product listings, pricing, order processing, and shipping logistics.
Monitor and analyse website traffic, sales data, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Assist with creating and executing marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and other digital marketing channels.
Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory management and stock levels.
Assist with managing product information, including descriptions, images, and pricing.
Conduct market research to identify trends and new products.
Keep up to date with e-commerce trends and best practices.
Assist with the promotion of the business by answering the phones promptly and using & developing in-house product knowledge library & be able to offer basic advice to customers.
Develop good, professional relationships with colleagues.
Take in and check deliveries against paperwork, match to purchase order documentation where required and file accordingly.
Be prepared to open and close building and assist with maintenance and cleanliness of the facilities.
Assist with Trade Shows/Exhibitions as required inc. travel & overnight stays.
Key Skills:
College level qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field or 1-2 years of experience in E-commerce or Digital Marketing desirable.
Good understanding of E-Commerce platforms including Amazon and eBay.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
