Conrad Consulting are delighted to be working with a large multi-disciplinary practice based in Newark, Nottinghamshire, seeking an enthusiastic Junior Architectural Technologist to join their team.
THE COMPANY:
The company in question is a large multi-disciplinary practice with a head office in Newark, and further offices spread throughout the East Midlands and Yorkshire. The head office in Newark has a team of over 35 people, and the Leeds office fast approaching 10 members of staff having been established in the last few years.
As a multi-disciplinary, the practice offers a variety of services in areas such as; Architecture, Interior Design, Civil and Structural Engineering, Project Management, Building Surveying, Clerk of Works and BIM. The practice work in a broad range of sectors and project types, including; Education, Retail, Leisure, Commercial, Industrial, and Residential developments.
The practice have invested heavily in BIM systems and Revit software is used throughout the office, along with AutoCAD, SketchUp and more. The practice have also implemented hybrid and remote working options, which opens up opportunities for Architectural Technologist's commuting from further afield. Being based in Newark, Nottinghamshire with remote/hybrid working options, this position as an Junior Architectural Technologist would suit those living in and around the East Midlands, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
The practice are also considering full time remote working for the right candidates, so please feel free to apply if you are based outside of the commutable range.
THE POSITION – JUNIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST:
The position available is for an Architectural Technologist with 1-2 years of industry experience, looking to kick on in their career. As a Junior Architectural Technologist you will be working with a well known UK brand name, predominantly focusing on Retail roll outs throughout the UK. This position will give you the opportunity to be involved with a large client, working on complex architectural projects.
For this position, it would be ideal for you to have experience of using AutoCAD & Revit in a practice environment on a live project. Prior experience in the retail sector would be fantastic but not necessarily essential when applying to this position.
You will be working with a dedicated team made up of experienced Architects & Architectural Technologists that will mentor you and develop your skills as an Architectural Technologist.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
·Architectural Technology degree or a HNC/HND in a related field.
· ACIAT status, working towards chartership.
·Approximately 1-2 years of industry experience.
·Sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
·Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD (essential) & Revit (desirable)
·Experience of working in varied sectors, with particular focus on the Retail sector if possible.

·Salary in the region of £24,000-£30,000
