Salary : £24500 – £25000/annum

We're looking for a talented individual with experience in planning and delivering creative activities for young people to join our fantastic team at The Core at Corby Cube.

Job Purpose:

To plan and deliver creative activities for young people, particularly those in challenging circumstances.
To administrate and oversee the delivery of all activities for young people aged 12 to 25.
To work with The Core's Director and Outreach and Education Manager to identify and submit funding applications to develop further activities and manage the controlled expansion of the current programme.Key Task Areas

To manage The Core's sessional activity for young people aged 12- 25 and to liaise with the Outreach and Education Manager and Director as to the nature and direction of all sessional activity.
To assume day-to-day administration and management of all activities for ages 12 to 25 year olds and to work alongside the Outreach and Education Manager and Director in identifying needs whilst developing artistic and creative project activity to address the identified need including ensuring that there are pathways to professional development opportunities from sessional activity.
To attend weekly sessions at Project M (Thursdays 6.30pm to 9pm) The Core's Youth Music Club offering pastoral support to participants and creative practitioners, guiding and shaping the programme and overseeing the planning, reporting, delivery and supporting evaluation.
To manage freelance practitioners for all activity for ages 12 – 25 and to support artist development in the area where the artist is making or facilitating work for young people aged 12 – 25.
To oversee the administration of all activity for ages 12 – 25 including; updating registers, inputting data, maintaining contact information, contracting freelancers, completing risk assessments for sessions, workshops and performances, processing invoices and collecting evaluation data.Full job description available on our website.

Essential Skills

Experience

Experience in planning and leading workshops
Experience in developing creative project ideas which respond to the identified needs of an area
Experience in health and safety and safeguarding requirements when working with young people aged 12 – 25
Experience in contracting and line-managing freelance artists and facilitators
Experience in budget managementKnowledge/Qualifications

Academic qualification to degree level or equivalent
Knowledge of current safeguarding policies & proceduresSkills/Abilities

Competent in word processing and data management
Practical experience through education or training in music or drama teaching and directing
Organised and able to project manage a number of different projects simultaneously
Able to prioritise and manage own workload
Good management skills
Excellent communicator, verbally and in writing
Excellent interpersonal skills
Creative, innovative, able to generate ideas for practical activity
Ability to process information effectively
Ability to establish rapport at all levels
An interest in community engagement and a strong commitment to inclusivity, relevance, and environmental responsibilities.

Desirable Skills

Experience

Experience in working with individuals with differing needs
Experience in networking and forming partnerships
Experience in identifying sources of funding and writing copy for applications
Experience as a musician or drama practitioner or both
Experience and a desire to work with young people in challenging circumstances and with a range of needs
Experience in producing eventsKnowledge/Qualifications

Arts-related qualification
Familiar with health & safety issues
Arts Award training/awareness

The Core at Corby Cube is a registered charity and we have recently celebrated our 8th Birthday. In this time we have welcomed more than 300,000 audience members and participants to our town centre venue and made a local economic impact of £16.8 million.

The Core at Corby Cube consists of three spaces. The Theatre seats 445 people on three levels- the main live programme takes place here with professional visiting companies, local amateur groups, schools and community organisations all regularly performing on the stage. We present music, comedy, dance, theatre and family shows and have recently seen visits from Sarah Millican, Northern Ballet Theatre, Rich Hall and The Searchers, to name a few. The Lab is a studio space suitable for smaller-scale shows and family activities. The Base is an underground workshop space which doubles as a training room, conference space and recording studio
