Electrical Design Engineer

Wise Employment are recruiting for experienced Electrical Design Engineer to workwithin a well-established and highly reputable company in the Plymouth area.
This is a permanent role based in Plympton, Plymouth and working 40 hours per week (either Monday to Friday 7am – 330pm or Monday to Thursday 8am-530pm and Friday 8am-Midday).
This role is paying between £29,120 and £35,360 per annum dependant on experience and is to start as soon as possible so don’t delay in applying!
The role will involve you supporting and providing assistance with; supplying electrical designs and amending and updating documentation and electrical /mechanical drawings.
You will supply design work of new products and support in first builds as well as setting up electrical and mechanical design and layouts. You will also be responsible for maintaining your workload to ensure deadlines are met whilst highlighting problems at the earliest opportunity, such as, drawing errors, build pack errors, artwork and workflow errors.
You will provide technical support to production departments and assist with technical information relating to sales enquiries and the generation of quotations for new works.
Key Skills:
You will be required to have experience in control panel design and 2D CAD skills. You will have a good understanding of electrical wiring symbols, engineering drawings and have great attention to detail.
You will be competent in using Microsoft Office; specifically; Excel, Word, Visio & Workflow and be a competent user of Draftsight, Corel, Gerber, AutoCad and SEE.
