Senior Production Merchandiser
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £42000/annum
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Production Merchandiser for a growing office in Islington. Applicants who have previously worked in a trading office, or from a manufacturing background, and have performed the key relationship process between buyer/customer and factory.
You will be someone who will take ownership of their workload, involving high pressure tasks and quick responses, spanning multiple countries, time zones and production facilities.
Demonstrating commercial awareness and a proactive approach to help a new office establish process and onboard new customers, ensuring deliveries are on time, and problem solving ability.
Senior Production Merchandiser – Overview
* The planning, development and execution of merchandising strategies in order to reach organisational goals and objectives
* Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to anticipate product demands
* Liaise with customers and factories, including order placement, follow-ups, and price negotiation
* Oversee product development and order delivery in collaboration with factories
* Confirm orders and coordinating bulk production with buyers and vendors
* Handle L/C opening procedures
* Ensure process of inspections
* Oversee /coordinate with shipping logistics.
* Working to and managing the critical path
* Build effective working relationships with all internal/external stakeholders
Senior Production Merchandiser – The Ideal Candidate
* Experience within a similar merchandising (supplier/manufacturer) role within fashion/textiles
* Experience with offshore production
* Ability to work independently, to be highly organised and to manage and prioritise deadlines
* Excellent problem solver and decision maker – focusing on solutions
* Proven ability to work accurately under pressure within a fast paced environment.
* Confident communication skills (spoken and written).
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) and second language such as Hindi or Mandarin would be beneficial
* Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in EXCEL
