Based in Leicester, this company is a market leader in circular knitting machinery, with customers across the globe within fashion, home/interiors and automotive. This is an impressive business with newly refurbished offices, looking for a creative designer and technical knitwear developer to join their small, friendly in house team.
This opportunity is 5 Days in house, hybrid, flexible or remote working will not be considered.
Junior Knit Pattern Designer : The Role
* Develop innovative, commercial knitted fabric ranges that demonstrate the machinery’s capabilities.
* Collate and compile new ideas, innovations and predict fabric and yarn trends.
* Work closely with knit technicians to develop newness in technique and structure.
* Take ownership of cataloguing and distributing sample fabrics and swatches and maintain impeccable swatch library.
* Compile and produce product brochures and general marketing collateral and company website.
* You will offer support on technical knit processes and designs to customers, including bespoke software training.
Junior Knit Pattern Designer : The Candidate
* You will be self-motivated and eager to learn
* You will have a commercial design eye and a passion for knit or jersey fabric
* You will have some knowledge of yarns and knitting techniques (such as jacquards)
* You will ideally have an understanding of weft knitting
* This is a unique business, you will be given full training on all in house machinery and software.
