Cad Technician
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £20000 – £28000/annum
Involve Recruitment (Midlands) are thrilled to once again be working with a bespoke design and manufacturer in the Wolverhampton to bring on a new CAD TECHNICIAN!
What is exciting about this, is the fact they are happy to take on someone potentially out of college / university or with little experience looking to grow as well as looking at experienced technician
The role will be to Provided CAD supporting role to our Technical Designer and Engineering Director, as well as Supporting marketing with technical drawings (3D models) for marketing purposes.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Following instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings.
* Taking verbal direction and implementing it into technical drawings.
* Coordinating filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings.
* Being able to define problems and find solutions for them.
* Knowledge of using different software to convey instructions, technical specifications, assembly procedures, measurements, and customer requirements.
* Marketing support, a knowledge of Adobe software
Job Requirements
* Design skills and knowledge.
* Maths skills.
* Able to confidently use a computer and the main software packages (Solidworks).
* Excel skills, basic formulas, table building.
* Able to create and maintain databases.
Education
A suitable level of education, from GCSE to higher education, University or College, focussed on Engineering and Manufacturing. Suitable levels of BTEC, City and Guilds, modern apprenticeship, HNC and HND focussed on CAD.
