We are excited to be working with a multi-award-winning UK-based Independent Games Studio, which is on the lookout for a Senior Unity Artist to join their team as they continue to scale.
 
The studio has a strong track record of producing high-quality games across multiple platforms, with a focus on creating innovative and engaging gameplay experiences.
 
We are now looking for a very skilled, enthusiastic, and all-around Senior Artist that is ready to make their impact across several projects to join their team. In this job, you will assist in the delivery of aesthetic ambitions for their games, including motivating and managing a team of artists to carry out that vision. Your involvement will range from idea through sign-off, as well as pitching and publicly representing the game.
 
Role / Responsibilities:

Assist in managing the team of artists responsible for delivering the game design concept.
Create thoughts, ideas, and mood boards for our game's art vision.
Present mood boards and references to stakeholders to obtain preliminary approval.
Push for enhancements to the art production workflow.
Create high-quality assets that are both technically and artistically suited for production.
Perform technical and quality control on given projects.
Assist in ensuring that your quality standards are specified and followed by the team, and that there is obvious consistency with the project's aesthetic vision.
Create and refine art bibles, style guides, and mood boards, then verify assets satisfy all relevant departments' criteria.
Serve as a mentor to new or inexperienced artists, as well as to all members of the development team.
Assist in the creation of art for entertaining playable prototype games and their development with the help of other team members. 
Requirements:

5+ years of experience as an artist working on video games.
Shipped at least two titles as Senior Artist.
Extensive hands-on experience with the Unity game engine is required.
Has a portfolio with a wide mix of artistic and realistic art styles.
Worked on a variety of game titles and genres.
