The Job You’ll Do;
* Generate imaginative and forward-thinking design concepts for retail environments, fixtures, displays, and point-of-sale materials.
* Combine artistic flair with practical considerations to create impactful designs.
* Collaborate with the sales and account management teams to understand client requirements and brand visions.
* Translate client briefs into creative and feasible design concepts.
* Stay updated on the latest retail trends, design innovations, and customer preferences.
* Incorporate emerging trends into concept designs to maintain a competitive edge.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and construction techniques.
* Ensure that design concepts are both visually appealing and technically feasible.
* Develop visually compelling presentations and design renderings to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and internal stakeholders.
* Iterate and refine design concepts based on feedback and project requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate design modifications.
* Ensure that design concepts align with the client's brand identity and overall marketing strategies.
* Maintain brand consistency and integrity throughout the design process.
* Encourage innovative thinking within the design team and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.
About You;
* Preferably Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field. Additional qualifications or certifications in design or retail merchandising are advantageous.
* Proven experience (5+ years) as a concept designer, preferably in the retail fixtures or visual merchandising industry.
* Exceptional creativity and artistic flair, with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), 3D modelling, and rendering tools.
* Strong understanding of retail environments, customer behaviour, and visual merchandising principles.
* Effective communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts to clients and team members.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Awareness of production processes and materials used in retail fixture manufacturing
