About the role:
Supply Desk are working with Basingstoke based, mixed secondary school who are looking for a full term music teacher with the possibility of extension to permanent for the right candidate. The candidate must highly skilled, motivated and engaging teacher who can deliver music lessons to KS3/4 students. The candidate must be able deep passion for music and must be comfortable working with the entire secondary school age range
This school are committed to providing outstanding support for teachers as well as students with the aim of reaching every individual full potential. The music department will consider an experienced music teacher and an ECT.

The school is based in Basingstoke and is mixed Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 1,300 students in total. The school prides itself on its high teaching standards as well as a friendly and enthusiastic team who collaborate on all aspects of teaching. The ideal candidate will:
Experience in playing 1 or more instruments
Musically literate and knowledgeable in musical history
Experience in composition
Creative
Have recent experience teaching in UK Schools
Be a committed team player
Proven track record of raising attainment
Be confident and adaptable to different environments
Have strong classroom management skills
Be able to teach music in a fun and engaging way that students can relate to
