CAD Technician
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £38000 – £43000/annum
Our client, a specialist Glazing Company have an urgent requirement for a permanent CAD Technician to join their friendly team.
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for:
Designing solutions in Aluminium Glazing including curtain walling.
Providing general arrangements and accurate detailed drawings and workshops for in-house manufacture
Using AutoCad
Knowledge of system estimating software
Working within budgets and project times
Liaising and supporting internal and external departments to ensure client requirements and specifications are fully understood, compliant and to query/adjust in consultation with estimating where authorised.
Following design processes and updating project files
Comparing tender drawings against later revisions, keeping an eye for changes and highlighting cost implications to the estimating team
Assisting the project teams with weekly updates on drawing progress to facilitate early communication with contractor teams.To be considered for this role you will need:
Previous design experience within the Glazing market, including curtain walling, windows and doors
Must have previous AutoCad experience
Must have Microsoft Word/OfficeIf you have the relevant skills and enjoy working as part of a team then this could be the role for you.
Hours of work, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm.
