Salary :

Inline with evolving and increasing needs of the business, our client is recruiting for a Buying & Merchandise Controller from a production/wholesale or import merchandising background. This role will be more factory focussed, owning the critical path and tracking process, managing pre-shipment sample approvals and inventory control etc until delivery, for both branded and private label business.
Buying & Merchandise Controller – General Role & Responsibilities
* Engaging with factories and vendors directly.
* Weekly review on commercial forecast against stock levels / deliveries and report and maintain correct stock levels (branded sales).
* Effective and proactive communication with all stakeholders in order to build positive relationships.
* On time Planning of Purchase Order placement to align agreed pricing / lead time, to achieve the agreed KPI stock levels vs sales targets.
* Review monthly forecast review vs actual sales to identify high / low sellers.
* Preparation / maintenance of critical path (EXCEL), from PO issues dates to final delivery for both brand, and private label
* Manage all the logistics activities with external / internal logistics teams to ensure goods delivered on time through the right channels.
* Manage pre-shipment sample approvals through CP and PLM.
* Manage new clothing lines product testing.
* Manage the private label accounts from order placement (PO, SO) until goods delivered to 3rd party warehouse including offshore vendor and logistics management and invoicing.
Buying & Merchandise Controller – Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in wholesale / import or production merchandising is mandatory (fashion or textiles related).
* Previous Buying or retail merchandise experience can be beneficial.
* Good attitude and confident in communicating directly with all key stakeholders.
* Organised, and able to effectively manage and prioritise
* Attention to detail, multi-tasking and working to tight deadlines in a challenging environment.
* Highly proficient in EXCEL / PPT and experience of PLM (NAV) or similar system
