Hours – 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch break)
This is an excellent opportunity for a technical designer, graduate or candidate with a head for figures and reading technical drawings to join the team of a leading manufacturing company based in the West Bromwich area.
Purpose of the Role
You will work within the Customer Delivery Team which looks after the customer journey right through from the enquiry stage to post-occupancy covering everything from Estimation, Design & Customer Service.
The Estimator role within that process is a key position as it is the link between Design and the Customers. Estimators are responsible for the pricing of the companys' full range of products, and after initial training can progress to becoming fully trained multi-product Design Estimators
The main duties include:
Log and review all new enquiries ensuring all necessary information and drawings to design and quote have been received
Preparing and submitting quotations for new developments using in house software for all company product offerings
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Customers
Support Design & Customer Service Teams in managing the flow of information throughout the business
Support Area Sales Managers in securing new orders
Requirements
Ability to process a lot of information accurately and have an eye for detail
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Enthusiasm, inquisitiveness, and ability to adapt to change
Eagerness to learn internally but to also have a willingness to learn about the business and product offering independently
