Sourcing Manager
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £40000 – £45000/annum
A unique opportunity is recruiting for a heritage outerwear/knitwear and countrywear brand as a Sourcing Manager. From a technical or production background, we are open to experience from a similar premium or luxury brand environment; sourcing and developing high quality men’s and ladieswear. A technical understanding of knitwear, yarns and fabrics would be advantageous and experience of working on smaller order volumes, quality production essential.
The full-time role is based in our Nottinghamshire Head Office reporting to the Technical/Production Director. There is the likelihood of accelerated promotion due to retirement (March 2025).
Sourcing Manager – The Job Outline:
* Recruiting for an experienced Sourcing Manager to be accountable for premium own brand apparel, knitwear and multiproduct.
* Part of the Senior Management Team this role will be to propose and deliver a robust Sourcing strategy and sustainable partnerships.
* Responsible for the management and development of existing relationships and new sources of supply, ensuring all ranges are delivered on time, to quality standards, compliance and brand/customer’s specifications.
* Experience in a similar role, with ownership of CP management, PO cycles, stock management and in managing 3rd party suppliers from across the globe is essential.
* To support design and development process to build up commercially viable ranges which fit within the brand
* Liaising with the technical team to manage on-time delivery of sampling.
Sourcing Manager The Candidate Experience:
* Experience from within a similar apparel and raw materials sourcing management position (min. 5years).
* Previous experience of working with men’s and ladies’ knitwear, multi-products including outerwear
* Implement critical paths for both SMS and production.
* Team management and ability to mentor /motivate others. A prior knowledge of knitted apparel, outerwear premium apparel is preferable.
* A knowledge of social, ethical, environmental and legal standards ie. SMETA would be advantageous.
* Ability to travel as/when to global vendor partners and new sources
* Must have a strong commercial eye.
* High level of technical understanding of garment construction.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Good time management with the ability to work to deadlines.
