Our client are world experts in the design, development and manufacture of bespoke automation and robotic solutions for the pharmaceutical, Life science, Bio Pharma, Medical Device and Food & Beverage industries. They have built an excellent reputation by delivering the best technical solutions to their clients.
Due to their continuing success across the UK, Ireland and Worldwide they are seeking a Senior Design Manager to join their expanding team. This is an opportunity for someone to hone their skills as a Senior Design expert in a best-in-class organisation.
The Role
Are you a hands-on design manager who can demonstrate previous experience leading high-performing design teams to deliver high-complexity, bespoke automated machinery designs?
Can you:
Manage and deliver mechanical engineering design projects utilising SOLIDWORKS software?
Develop/ improve and implement standardised engineering design procedures?
Assist in the identification and development of new system opportunities/ capabilities?
Produce accurate machine layouts, including service and installation details to minimise issues found at the assembly, installation and commissioning stages?
Provide technical support to all relevant business areas when needed, including sales, manufacturing / assembly, installation / commission, and customer services?The successful candidate will ideally have:
Minimum of Degree qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline – or equivalent through experience.
A proven record of success as a Design Engineer in a related engineering industry – automation/robotics/special purpose machinery.
Experience chairing and leading Design Qualification (DQ) meetings.
Experience utilising PDM systems to improve efficiency within the design teams.
