CAD Designer (Mechanical Bias)

Salary :
A subsidiary of a $10 billion global organisation based in Cambridgeshire requires an analytical CAD Designer to create technical drawings of an existing Production and Operations facility to maximise their current space.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will work closely with the senior management team to develop solutions that will work with future growth plans and expansion.
You’ll possess a good understanding production and processes that will be pivotal in ensuring changes will work and be effective.
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent experience in mechanical/production engineering and have worked within a manufacturing environment with AutoCAD 2D/SolidWorks or similar caliber/acumen.
Key requirements include:
* Project manage creation of AutoCAD 2D drawing including calculations of machinery
* Work closely with Quality/H&S to include relevant space planning is included
* Problem solve and look at all space opportunities for both production and office use
* Supporting project & transaction managers with plan variations for their proposed office moves and changes
* Creating test fits for new office location projects
* Assisting managers with pulling together project specific documents
* Work with facilities teams on plan distribution and planning requirements
* Provide solutions and ideas
