A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Ceramic Designer to join a global and highly successful manufacturing business. As a design led business, our client is always on the lookout for outstanding design talent. They are looking for someone to join their talented in-house design team. All product launched into the markets are designed and developed from their head office and manufactured on site in Stoke-on-Trent. Your artistic vision will be essential in transforming ideas into commercial designs.

You will be in the creation of innovative new designs for the hospitality market for both pattern and shape. You will bring plenty of ideas and understand how to translate them into tangible solutions; comfortable in your ability to dig deep and really get to the heart of the challenges.

Lending your skills to a variety of projects, you’ll work on briefs from start to finish and utilise your understanding of brand, strategy and design to deliver work that is as smart as it is stunning.

Job Description:

* Work with the team to devise a plan with objectives, deliverables, responsibilities and timescales to ensure projects are delivered

* Understand technical drawings and be able to create 3D models for them

* Present and explain design concepts directly to customers

* Incorporate changes recommended by customers/wider teams into final designs

* Work with manufacturing to provide a viable design

Candidate Requirements:

* High level of Adobe Creative Suite experience

* Knowledge of artwork separation for traditional direct print and digital print processes

* Experience with 3D modelling package

* Ability to interpret design briefs and communicate with the marketing, NPD and manufacturing teams to bring to life

* Passion for design
