Design Manager
My client who is a global market leader in their industry is looking to recruit a Design Manager to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who have AutoCAD and Inventor skills.
Duties of the Design Manager:
Responsible for updating existing machines.
Working on new and existing product ranges
Working closely with shop floor and engineering personnel
Take ownership of Design projects from start to finish.
Management of design activities from concept to production validation
Working in accordance with department processes
Investigating design factors to include function, materials, performance, cost, efficiency.
Preparing data for new product assemblies and components to include 3D/2D drawings, BOM, technical specifications.
Customer liaison on new projects
Ensuring designs meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.
Service excellence
Qualified to HND/Degree level in engineering discipline.
Good knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and product design processes
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
